One of the most common questions asked by visiting vessels is, "How can we get into Loreto"?

Well, there are five answers to that.

1.  During the morning net (each morning at 8AM - channel 22), you can ask for a ride into town, if someone with a car is going in,  they will usually offer you a ride.

2. You can hitchhike!

3. You can rent a car.  Renting a car is easy, just ask the Singlar office to call for you.  They will arrange for a car to be delivered & picked up here at the Marina.  You will have the car for a 24 hour period & can expect to pay from 450-650 pesos.

4. You can hire a taxi.  Each morning you will find a taxi van waiting in the Marina parking lot.  The taxi service is different, as they spend the entire day with you, driving you to multi ple locations in Loreto.  This is a good solution for someone who needs to provision at many different stores & needs the knowledge of a Loreto local.  You can expect to pay 650-750 peso for this service.

5. Bus, you can flag down the bus at the road entrance to Puerto Escondido.  Please see the following bus schedule, all times are approximate & subject to change.
